The Barbados Police Service Narcotics Unit has arrested and formally charged 19-year-old Abdul-Rasheed Anjolaoluwa Oduola of Dagenham, East London, United Kingdom, in connection with the seizure of 23.4 kilogrammes of suspected cocaine.
Oduola was charged with possession, trafficking and intent to supply cocaine, as well as attempting to export the controlled substance.
The seized cocaine has an estimated street value of BDS$1.17 million.
According to the Barbados Police Service, Oduola appeared before the District ‘B’ Magistrates’ Court on Friday, October 2, 2026.
The case followed an operation by the Narcotics Unit which led to the seizure of the suspected cocaine and the subsequent arrest of the teenager.
Authorities did not provide further details about the circumstances surrounding the seizure or the alleged attempt to export the drugs.
The case remains before the court.
