The actor' mother died on 18 October 2026 after a prolonged battle with an undisclosed illness.
Announcing the news in a lengthy Instagram post on Monday, Adunni described her mother's death as a painful loss.
"With a heavy heart and submission to the will of Almighty Allah, I announce the passing of my beloved mother, who returned to her Creator after a long battle with illness.
"Details of the funeral arrangements will be communicated in due course," she posted.
It was reported that the Nigerian- American actor was born in New York to a Yoruba Nigerian father and a German-Irish mother.
