The former Big Brother Naija housemate spoke about the issue during an interview with social commentator Oyemykke, where he rejected claims that he dates women for financial gain.
Sheggz said he was not a “financial parasite” or a gigolo, insisting that he is financially independent and has properties in both Nigeria and the United Kingdom.
“I have my house in London and I have my house in Banana Island,” he said.
Addressing his financial arrangements with Bella during their relationship, Sheggz said they shared their household expenses, adding that he contributed more to their bills.
“Bella and I split the bills 70-30 and I did more,” he said.
The reality TV star also said that while the pair exchanged money during their relationship, he ensured that Bella’s needs were taken care of.
Sheggz suggested that the negative narratives about the financial aspect of their relationship became more prominent after the relationship ended without marriage.
The pair, who met during their time on Big Brother Naija, became one of the show's most talked-about couples before their relationship ended.
Sheggz’s latest comments come amid renewed discussions about the financial dynamics of their former relationship, with the reality star maintaining that his involvement with Bella was not motivated by money.
