Singer, Seun Kuti, has revealed that the wives and over 100 concubines of his late father, Fela Anikulapo Kuti, almost killed him with stress.
According to Kuti, besides his 27 wives married on the same day, he had over 100 concubines residing with him at his Kalakuta commune.
Speaking on the ‘Bahd & Boujee’ podcast with hosts Moet and Tolani Baj, Kuti said: “People only know of Fela’s 27 wives, they don’t know of his over 100 girlfriends that lived with us in the house.
“The wives and girlfriends almost killed Fela with stress.”
Fela died of AIDS-related complications on August 2, 1997, at the age of 58.
