Anthony Joshua’s Dubai Dinner Disrupted By Drug Testers.

Anthony Joshua.

Anthony Joshua’s dinner with his promoter, Eddie Hearn, took an unexpected twist on Thursday evening when representatives from the UK Anti-Doping Agency (UKAD) arrived without prior notice to carry out a test.

The heavyweight boxer and his promoter were enjoying a meal at an upscale restaurant in Dubai, reportedly discussing Joshua’s upcoming fight, when the officials interrupted the occasion.

Hearn posted a video of the moment on social media, humorously captioning it: “Most tested fighter of all time. Hasn’t boxed for a year. Out for dinner in Dubai and UKAD rock up.”

In the clip, Hearn is heard saying: “Just want to say, unbelievable scenes. UKAD turn up.” The camera then shifts to Joshua, who beams widely, flexes his arm, and jokes: “Ed, they must have seen my chin-ups.”

As the recognised anti-doping body for the British Boxing Board of Control (BBBofC), UKAD is authorised to test any licensed boxer at any moment. The procedure can involve collecting urine, venous blood, or dried blood spot samples, and boxers are required to report any international travel.

Joshua, who has not been in the ring since his knockout loss to Daniel Dubois last September, continues to be part of the testing pool while preparing for his next fight.
