APC's Uche Ekwunife Apologizes To Governor Soludo, Wife Over Infidelity Allegation.

The deputy governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC in the November governoship elections, Senator Uche Ekwunife has issued a public apology to Governor Chukwuma Soludo and his wife, Mrs. Nonye Soludo, following a heated exchange involving allegations of infidelity against the governor’s wife.

The apology comes after a public dispute sparked by Governor Soludo’s claim that Uche Ekwunife held a fake PhD and in response, Senator Ekwunife had made allegations of infidelity against Mrs. Soludo, claim which Mrs. Soludo denied, challenging Ekwunife to a fidelity and paternity test on her children.

In a press release signed by her Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Tony Ezike, Uche Ekwunife expressed regret about the altercation, urging the public to disregard the trending story falsely attributed to her camp claiming that Chief Chris Uba, a former PDP chieftain, fathered some of the governor’s children. She clarified that the story did not originate from her or her supporters.

The statement reads: “The attention of Sen. Uche Ekwunife, the Anambra All Progressives Congress (APC) Deputy Governorship Candidate, has been drawn to an article falsely attributed to her camp, alleging that Mrs. Nonye Soludo, the wife of the Anambra State Governor, had children for Chief Chris Uba. Sen. Uche Ekwunife categorically states that although she has been maligned, defamed, and disparaged by the governor’s media team, the said publication did not emanate from her or her camp.”

Ekwunife further apologized to the governor, his wife, and the public affected by the recent altercation, describing her move as an effort to de-escalate tensions. She called on her supporters to remain focused on her campaign and avoid engaging in media narratives that could suggest further conflict with the First Family or others.

The senator’s apology has been described as a courageous step toward mending relations as she continues her campaign for the deputy governorship of Anambra State.
