Gov Bago’s Chieftaincy Aide, Galadima Raban Nupe, Dies Suddenly.

Alhaji Gimba Abubakar, known as the Galadima Raban Nupe and Coordinator of Chieftaincy Affairs to the Niger State Governor, Mohammed Umar Bago, has passed away.

According to family members, he died in the early hours of Saturday following a brief illness.

“He left for the hospital on his own this morning, only for us to be informed later that he is dead,” a relative explained.

They mentioned that Abubakar had appeared healthy on Friday and had carried out his routine activities without showing any signs of illness.

In a condolence statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Bologi Ibrahim, the governor offered his heartfelt sympathies to the Etsu Nupe and Chairman of the Niger State Council of Traditional Rulers, Alhaji Yahaya Abubakar, as well as to the entire family of the late official.

Abubakar, who was in his early fifties, is survived by three wives and several children.

Governor Bago described him as “a disciplined and dedicated man who always stood for what is right.”
