The National Convention Organising Committee (NCOC) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has announced an indefinite extension of the deadline for submitting expression of interest and nomination forms by prospective aspirants.
The party made this known through a statement issued in Abuja by Debo Ologunagba, the Secretary of the Publicity Sub-Committee. He explained that the previous deadline, which was set for Friday, 26th September, had now been withdrawn.
Ologunagba stated that the committee had not yet set a new deadline but assured that the public would be informed once a new date was determined.
He also mentioned that the committee had approved the postponement of the aspirants’ screening, which was initially scheduled for Tuesday, 30th September.
According to Ologunagba, the extension was necessary to allow for proper preparations and the seamless execution of the process.
He further noted that new dates for both the deadline and screening would be announced in due course, and urged all aspirants to take note of the changes and plan accordingly.
The party’s national elective convention remains scheduled to take place on the 15th and 16th of November in Ibadan.
