The Renewed Hope Ambassadors have expressed confidence that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will achieve a resounding victory in the 2027 presidential election, attributing their optimism to the positive effects of his policies on the economy and national progress.
In a joint statement released on Monday by the group’s coordinators across the five South East states, they asserted that Tinubu’s increasing popularity and achievements would ensure an easy win.
This pronouncement comes ahead of the President’s anticipated visit to the South East on Tuesday, scheduled as part of events commemorating the 10th anniversary of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in government. During the trip, President Tinubu is expected to be received by South East leaders in Owerri, the capital of Imo State, where he will also inaugurate significant projects executed by Governor Hope Uzodinma, who chairs the Progressive Governors’ Forum.
The coordinators of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors are Chief Henry Ikoh (Abia), Chief Okey Ezenwa (Anambra), Barr. Kelechi Igwe (Ebonyi), Barr. George Ogara (Enugu), and Rt. Hon. Opiah Goodluck (Imo). They described the President’s visit as an occasion for him to “feel the famed warmth of the South East and witness the massive support of the people of the zone for him and his administration.”
Referring to President Tinubu as “the father of our nation and the transformer of our era,” the group praised his reforms in both economic and governance sectors, stating that they are motivating Nigerians both within and outside the country.
The statement noted that Tinubu would commission projects delivered by Governor Uzodinma and emphasised that these developments are in harmony with the President’s Renewed Hope Agenda. It further stated that the South East, under Uzodinma’s leadership, is ready to display strong support for Tinubu and his government.
Reiterating their full backing for his 2027 campaign, the Renewed Hope Ambassadors urged Nigerians to support his re-election efforts “without distraction.”
“Indeed, the South East wants to vote massively for President Tinubu in 2027 to sit at the front of the table in the equitable distribution of resources and infrastructure. This is a cause to which we are totally committed, and we will continue to work hard under the leadership of Governor Hope Uzodinma to ensure that President Tinubu records a landslide victory not only in the South East but also across the country,” the statement concluded.
