Bauchi Governor Appoints Elder Brother As New Emir.

Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State has named his elder brother, Alhaji Adamu Mohammed, as the Emir of the newly established Duguri Emirate.

The Secretary to the State Government, Aminu Hammayo, handed over the appointment letter on behalf of the governor during a ceremony held on Friday at the Duguri Emir’s Palace in Alkaleri Local Government Area.

At the event, Hammayo urged the new emir to align with government policies and play an active role in advancing the growth and progress of the state.

In his address, Emir Adamu Mohammed expressed his appreciation to the governor for the recognition and prayed for divine blessings upon him.

He further pledged unwavering loyalty to the Bauchi State Government and the Bauchi Emirate Council.

Similarly, the Secretary to the State Government also delivered an appointment letter to Alhaji Jibrin D. Hassan, who was appointed as the new Emir of Bununu Emirate.

Hammayo advised the newly appointed traditional leader to promote harmony, unity, and adherence to the rule of law among the people under his authority.

Emir Jibrin D. Hassan conveyed his gratitude to the governor and assured that he would not fail either the government or his people.

It was earlier reported that Governor Bala Mohammed had signed legislation establishing 13 new emirates across the state.
