The immediate past Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), retired General Christopher Musa, has declared that he is leaving active military service with pride and a clear conscience.
Speaking on Friday in Abuja during his Pulling Out Parade, where he delivered his Valedictory Remarks, Musa stated that he had dedicated his life to serving the nation wholeheartedly.
The former CDS expressed gratitude to Nigerians, especially the youth, for their faith and prayers for a safer country, and also appreciated the media for their continued support and contribution to national progress.
“As I formally retire my uniform, I am leaving the stage with pride and a clear conscience, having given my all in service to Nigeria.”
“I may be retiring from active service today, but I will never retire from my love for Nigeria.”
“I remain a soldier at heart and a patriot committed to the Constitution and sovereignty of our great nation,” he said.
Musa rounded off by giving thanks to God for divine protection throughout his years of service.
The former CDS assured that he would continue to serve Nigeria in different capacities even after retirement.
