The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) National Convention Organising Committee (NCOC) has named Eyitayo Jegede as the Chairman of its Screening Committee ahead of the upcoming National Convention.
Governor Ahmadu Fintiri of Adamawa State, who chairs the NCOC, announced the appointment in a statement issued on Saturday in Abuja.
Fintiri revealed that the committee had approved Jegede’s appointment along with 12 other members of the party to screen aspirants contesting for various national positions at the 2025 PDP Elective National Convention scheduled for November 15 and 16 in Ibadan.
He added that the screening exercise would take place on Tuesday.
The Screening Committee will also include Mohammed Diri as Deputy Chairman, Mr Asue Ighodalo as Secretary, and Jacob Otorkpa as Deputy Secretary.
Other appointed members are Emmanuel Enoidem, Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola, Chief Mrs Aduke Maina, Iyom Anenih, Achike Udenwa, Maryam Ciroma, Felix Hyat, Zainab Maina, and Chinedu Nwachukwu, who will serve as the Member/Administrative Secretary.
“The NCOC notes and expects that the exemplary conduct and strict adherence to rules and regulations during this very crucial assignment will justify the confidence reposed by the Party on members of the Committee,” Fintiri said.
