The Nigerian Senate on Tuesday passed a bill that prescribes life imprisonment for paedophiles and anyone involved in sexual acts with minors.
As stipulated in the new legislation, henceforth in Nigeria, any man or woman who engages in sexual intercourse with a minor (child) will be sentenced to life imprisonment without the option of a fine.
