Senate To Screen Newly Appointed Service Chiefs On Wednesday.

The Senate will on Wednesday conduct the screening of Service Chiefs appointed by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

This was announced by Senate President Godswill Akpabio after he read a letter from President Tinubu, which contained the names of the nominees forwarded to the Senate for screening and confirmation.

Those to be screened and confirmed include the Chief of Defence Staff, General Olufemi Oluyede; the Chief of Army Staff, Major-General Waheedi Shaibu; the Chief of Air Staff, Air Vice Marshal Kennedy Aneke; and the Chief of Naval Staff, Rear Admiral Idi Abbas.

According to a statement from the Presidency, the appointments are part of a broader strategic adjustment aimed at promoting professionalism, boosting morale, and strengthening inter-agency cooperation in national security operations.
