The 2023 presidential candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), Adewole Adebayo, has declared that President Bola Tinubu’s administration has failed Nigerians in every area of governance.
Adebayo made this statement on Tuesday while responding to questions during an interview on Prime Time, a programme aired on Arise Television.
He accused the Tinubu-led government of abandoning key sectors such as security, education, justice, and poverty alleviation.
“I thought they would recognise that the country needs security and ensure safety across Nigeria, but they haven’t done much.
“New terror groups are emerging, communities in the Middle Belt are turning against each other, and Boko Haram remains undefeated. Today, you’re more likely to see officials taking selfies with terrorists than fighting them,” Adebayo said.
Speaking further on the economy, the former presidential candidate criticised the government’s approach to addressing poverty and national development.
He faulted the administration’s student loan policy, pointing out that the initiative was undermined by poor infrastructure and recurring strikes.
Adebayo also described the recent presidential pardons as a fiasco.
He urged Nigerians to resist any attempt to re-elect the Tinubu administration, warning that a second term would only worsen the nation’s shame and decline.
