Shehu Kambile, who serves as the Chairman of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Adamawa State, has stepped down from his position as Special Assistant to Governor Ahmadu Fintiri. He made the announcement on Wednesday in Yola, the state capital.
Kambile explained that the resignation was a strategic decision to allow him to focus entirely on building and strengthening the ADC as the main opposition party in the state.
“My appointment was through the Inter-Party Advisory Council (IPAC), aimed at promoting national unity. I appreciate the chance to serve Governor Fintiri, but it’s time to resign and dedicate myself fully to my primary goal of fortifying a strong opposition,” he said.
He stressed the importance of having an opposition capable of providing a genuine alternative for the people.
Kambile also praised former Vice President Atiku Abubakar for his efforts in advancing inclusive and democratic principles within the ADC. He urged all party members to come together and work towards the party’s victory.
