As tensions deepen within the Peoples Democratic Party, former Vice President and the PDP’s 2023 presidential flag bearer, Atiku Abubakar, has insisted that the African Democratic Congress stands as the only credible alternative capable of rescuing Nigerians from the difficulties they continue to endure under the All Progressives Congress government.
Atiku made this known in Jalingo during the commissioning of the ADC state secretariat, where he said the party is strategically positioned to win the 2027 general elections. He urged Nigerians to stand with the ADC so they can be part of the collective effort to salvage the country.
He also encouraged all eligible voters, particularly those in Taraba, to ensure they register and obtain their voter cards.
Atiku stressed that any hope of changing the government in 2027 would be pointless if citizens are not equipped with the means to cast their votes.
He criticised the APC administration, arguing that it has achieved very little in improving the welfare of the people.
Atiku further expressed confidence in the competence of ADC leaders, saying they would perform far better at both the national and state levels if entrusted with power in 2027.
Taraba ADC Chairman, Hassan Adamu, also stated that the party has grown increasingly popular among residents and will offer a strong alternative in the coming election cycle.
The event also included the inauguration of the ADC state transition committee, headed by Senator Abubakar Tutare, with Barrister Haruna Kwetishe serving as secretary.
