Adeboye Speaks On Terrorism, Tells Government To Expose Sponsors.

The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has called on the Federal Government to intensify its fight against terrorism by going beyond attacking insurgents and focusing on uncovering and prosecuting their sponsors.

Speaking during the November Holy Ghost Service at the Redemption City Campground, Adeboye said the fight against terrorism would remain incomplete unless those funding the attacks were identified and brought to justice, regardless of their social status or political influence.

“When giving instructions to the service chiefs this time, the President should clearly state that the mission is not only to eliminate the terrorists but also to deal with their sponsors, no matter how powerful they are,” he said.

Adeboye urged President Bola Tinubu to take bold and strategic steps to end the ongoing killings across Nigeria. He cautioned that the nation must not depend on foreign powers for assistance if a large-scale conflict were to arise, insisting that Nigeria must find its own lasting solution.

He also expressed concern about President Tinubu’s recent statement that the country’s security situation had improved, describing it as inaccurate and disconnected from the reality citizens face daily.

“I almost spoke last month when I heard a portion of the President’s speech claiming that all is well. Whoever wrote that section does not like him. People are still being killed and displaced,” Adeboye said.

The cleric urged the government to prioritise action over empty promises, noting that insecurity predates the current administration but now requires firm and urgent intervention.

Adeboye also called for peace and unity among Nigerians, recalling that Christians and Muslims once coexisted harmoniously before politics caused deep divisions.

He concluded by expressing optimism that peace would eventually return to Nigeria, urging citizens to remain steadfast in faith and continue praying for the nation.
