Nigeria’s foreign reserves have risen above $46 billion, according to the Central Bank of Nigeria Governor, Yemi Cardoso.
He made this announcement on Tuesday morning at the opening of the Monetary Policy Department’s 20th anniversary colloquium in Abuja.
Mr Cardoso explained that this is the first time since 2018 that the country has reached this level, noting that the reserves could cover more than 10 months of imports.
