The Confederation of African Football, in collaboration with the Local Organising Committee for AFCON Morocco 2025, has announced that football fans travelling for the tournament will now receive electronic visas at no cost.
The policy applies to visitors from countries that ordinarily require a visa to enter Morocco.
According to a statement published on CAF’s official website, the free e-visa offer, accessible through the YALLA mobile application, is available to supporters attending the competition scheduled from 21 December 2025 to 18 January 2026.
CAF explained that the move follows an increasing global interest in the tournament, with more fans securing travel plans and tickets.
Supporters will be required to obtain two documents for entry into Morocco and access to all match venues: a Fan ID and an electronic visa. Both can be processed directly through the YALLA app to simplify the procedure for travellers.
The Fan ID is compulsory for stadium access and official fan zones. The statement added that the application process for both the Fan ID and e-visa is completed within the app, offering a quicker and more secure experience for fans arriving from outside and within the country.
Fans are advised to download the YALLA app via Google Play or the App Store, or visit the official YALLA website to submit their Fan ID details and apply for an e-visa where necessary.
After approval, supporters can purchase match tickets from CAF’s ticketing portal.
CAF noted that the initiative is intended to ensure a smooth and safe experience for all visitors attending Africa’s biggest football event, which will be held in nine stadiums across six Moroccan cities.
Morocco, which last hosted the tournament in 1988, is preparing to welcome 24 national teams as the continent’s premier football competition returns to North Africa with high anticipation and renewed excitement.
