EFCC Summons Ex-Minister Malami.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has issued an invitation to the former Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami (SAN), for questioning.

Malami confirmed the development on Friday through a post on his personal Facebook page.

The former minister, who served in the Buhari administration from 2015 to 2023, assured Nigerians that he is ready to meet with the EFCC.

He wrote, “I am informing my family and friends that EFCC has invited me to clarify on some issues, and as a citizen of law and order and patriot, I am willing to honor this invitation without any hesitation.”

Malami also restated his commitment to the values he upheld while in public office, saying, “I believe in the importance of honesty, integrity and honesty in leadership — these are principles I’ve long supported and uphold, over the years I’ve spent in public service.”

He added that he would keep Nigerians updated on any developments so that the public is aware of whatever unfolds, considering “his current life and history.”
