Former Ekiti State Governor, Ayo Fayose, has admitted that he was so angered by former President Olusegun Obasanjo’s remarks at his 65th birthday celebration that he briefly felt like taking the microphone and hitting him with it.
Fayose revealed this in a fresh interview, where he recounted the events leading up to his birthday event.
During the celebration held in Lagos, Obasanjo had spoken about their long-standing disagreements, saying Fayose was “not the best” among his political protégés, although he acknowledged his achievements in politics.
Fayose also explained that, two weeks before his birthday, he made a personal decision to reconcile with several people he had previously had political conflicts with.
