The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has cautioned corps members to avoid posting negative content on social media platforms.
Brigadier General Olakunle Nafiu, the NYSC Director General, issued this warning while speaking to the 2025 Batch ‘C’ corps members at the Delta State Orientation Camp in Issele-Uku.
He stated that any corps member found sharing harmful or inappropriate posts online would face disciplinary measures. Instead, corps members were encouraged to share positive content that reflects well on both the NYSC and Nigeria.
Nafiu also warned against unauthorised travel and urged corps members to comply with all instructions, complete their biometrics, and actively participate in the Community Development Service program.
“Learn and respect the cultural traditions of your host communities, and avoid actions that could damage our reputation at your places of primary assignment,” he emphasised.
Before this, the NYSC Delta State Coordinator, Mr John Kwaghe, provided a report on camp activities, revealing that 2,101 corps members—944 males and 1,157 females—had been deployed to the state. He added that the camp was running smoothly, with high discipline and full engagement from both staff and corps members.
