Shehu Sani Warns Nigerians: Leave US Before Trump Arrests You.

Shehu Sani.

Former Kaduna Central Senator, Shehu Sani, has urged Nigerians whose United States visas were recently revoked by the Trump administration to leave the country without delay.

In a post on X on Monday, the outspoken former lawmaker advised affected Nigerians and other Africans to return home before they are detained by the US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

Sani cautioned that, no matter how comfortable life abroad may seem, migrants must always remember they are guests in a foreign land.

He wrote: “Nigerians and other thousands of Africans whose visas were recently revoked by President Trump should hasten and leave the country and return home before they get arrested by ICE… No matter how long you live in the comfort of your adopted home, you will someday be reminded that it’s not your father’s house.”

His remarks come amid reports that Trump’s administration has begun enforcing stricter immigration measures, including large-scale visa cancellations and the review of existing residency permits.

The development has sparked tension among immigrants from several African countries, leaving many uncertain about their residency and legal standing in the United States.
