A prominent member of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Alwan Hassan, has stated that if the rule of law were properly applied, about 95 per cent of ministers who served under the late former President Muhammadu Buhari would be behind bars.
Hassan made the assertion on Tuesday while appearing on Politics Today, a programme broadcast on Channels Television.
He was speaking while reviewing the performance and legacy of Buhari’s administration.
The APC chieftain also commented on alleged corruption cases involving the former Attorney-General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami, and the former Minister of Labour, Chris Ngige.
Both former officials are currently under investigation by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.
Hassan said, “If justice should be done, 95% of the ministers under late former President Muhammadu Buhari should be in jail.
“You heard what people have been saying since yesterday, especially concerning Malami and others, that the late former President told them to keep their documents because a time would come when they would be required to explain themselves. Maybe it was because he had seen what they were doing,” he added.
