BREAKING: Cross River APC Sacks Chairman.

Logo.

The All Progressives Congress in Cross River State has removed its embattled state chairman from office.

The state executive committee took the decision after the chairman repeatedly refused to resign despite sustained pressure from various blocs within the party.

An acting chairman, Ntufam Ekum Ojogu, has now assumed leadership and will manage the party’s affairs until a state congress is held to formally ratify his position.

The move aligns with Section 17(6) of the APC constitution, which empowers the SEC to appoint an acting chairman when the substantive leader is removed.
