Bayelsa State Deputy Governor, Senator Lawrence Oborawharievwo Ewhrudjakpo, has reportedly died. Information available indicates that he passed away on Thursday in an undisclosed hospital at the age of 60.

It was earlier reported that the deputy governor collapsed on Thursday and was taken to the hospital for treatment.
Ewhrudjakpo, born on 5 September 1965, was a former member of the National Assembly and had been serving as Bayelsa State Deputy Governor since 2020.
