Edo Governor Sacks Chief Press Secretary.

Edo State Governor, Monday Okpebholo, has relieved Fred Itua of his duties as Chief Press Secretary.

In a statement released by the Secretary to the State Government, Musa Ikhilor, Itua is expected to complete his handover and await a new posting to be announced later.

Dr. Ebojele Akhere Patrick has now been named as the new Chief Press Secretary to the governor.

The announcement described Dr. Ebojele as a seasoned journalist, researcher, lecturer, and public administrator with a rich professional background in media, governance, and academia.

According to the statement, the appointment reflects the administration’s resolve to strengthen communication with the people of Edo State and ensure clearer, more transparent dissemination of government policies and programmes.

Dr. Ebojele has worked with several respected media organisations, including Channels Television as Edo/Delta Correspondent, as well as New Nigerian Newspaper, Champion Newspaper, and Comet Newspapers.

He takes over from Fred Itua, who will await further reassignment after handing over. The government also thanked Itua for his service and contributions.
