JABU Alumni Week 2025 Celebrates Excellence, Honours Leaders Driving Innovation and Impact.

The Joseph Ayo Babalola University (JABU) Alumni Association successfully concluded its Alumni Week 2025, a four-day celebration that brought together alumni, industry leaders, and partners to commemorate the university’s legacy while recognising individuals and organisations contributing significantly to national development across key sectors.

Held under the theme “Elevating Legacy, Empowering Tomorrow,” the event featured a series of activities, including a Reunion Service, Alumni Novelty Match, Award Night, and After Party.

A major highlight of the week was the Award Night, which honoured outstanding professionals whose work is driving innovation, leadership, and community impact.

On Thursday, the 4th of December 2025 alumni members, non alumni members gathered together for the dinner and award night to celebrate well deserving individuals.

Among the honourees was Bakare Oluwadamilare Emmanuel, who received the Distinguished Award for Emerging Visionary Leadership in Technology.

The award recognises exceptional leadership and excellence in the digital technology sector, and was presented in acknowledgement of his service, commitment, and visionary contributions to technology-driven solutions that empower communities and organisations.

Notably, Bakare Damilare is not an alumnus of Joseph Ayo Babalola University.

His selection reflects a merit-based national recognition extended to distinguished external professionals whose influence and impact transcend institutional affiliation.

Other recipients included Cashonrails, honoured for excellence in Digital Innovative Solutions; Elysium Homes & Club Secret Underground, recipients of the Real Estate & Lifestyle Impact Award; and Hon. Rev. Jenyo O. Samuel Atanda Bunmi, Commissioner, Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Osun State, who received the Distinguished Service Award.

In his remarks, Hon Akinkunmi Akintayo the President of JABU Alumni Association emphasised that the awards celebrate individuals and organisations whose work embodies innovation, integrity, and long-term societal impact, while inspiring the next generation of leaders.

JABU Alumni Week 2025 provided a platform for reconnection, collaboration, and recognition—reinforcing the university’s commitment to celebrating excellence and fostering partnerships that drive national development.
