Former Chairman of the Nigeria Inland Waterways Authority, Mr Bola Oyebamiji, has secured the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship ticket for the 2026 Osun State election.
Oyebamiji emerged as the party’s candidate after being unanimously endorsed by the 1,660 accredited delegates at the APC primary election.His emergence followed his nomination by one of the aspirants, Mr Kunle Adegoke, SAN, while Senator Babajide Omoworare seconded the nomination.
Subsequently, the Chairman of the APC primary election committee and Governor of Edo State, Monday Okpebholo, called for a voice vote, during which all delegates affirmed Oyebamiji’s candidacy.
Announcing the outcome, Okpebholo said, “By the power conferred on me as Chairman of the primary committee, I hereby declare Bola Oyebamiji, AMBO, as the candidate of our party.”
