The Senate has once again confirmed Kayode Are from Ogun State, Aminu Dalhatu from Jigawa State, and Ayodele Oke from Oyo State as ambassadorial nominees.
Their confirmation followed the presentation and adoption of the report submitted by the Senate Committee on Foreign Affairs, chaired by Senator Sani Bello, representing Niger North.
Speaking after the confirmation, Senate President Godswill Akpabio urged the nominees to discharge their duties with dignity and serve as credible representatives of Nigeria wherever they are assigned.
President Bola Tinubu had earlier requested the Senate’s approval for the nominees through a formal letter read during plenary by Akpabio about two weeks ago.
The three nominees were forwarded to the Senate ahead of another batch of 32 ambassadorial nominees previously unveiled by the President.
