Tinubu Approves 21 New Federal Appointments.

President Bola Tinubu has approved twenty-one new appointments across the National Agricultural Development Fund, the Bank of Agriculture, and the Universal Basic Education Commission.

The list of appointees, released on 5 December 2025, introduces new individuals who will join the three bodies to support and strengthen their activities nationwide.

At the Universal Basic Education Commission, the President appointed Uchendu Ikechi Mbaegbulem for the South East, Gift Ngo for the South South, Mrs Ibiwunmi Akinnola for the South West, Dr Meiro Mandara for the North East, Dr Abdu Imam Saulawa for the North West, and Professor Paul Ibukun-Olu Bolorunduro for the North Central.

The Bank of Agriculture also received new executive members, including Fatima Garba as executive director for Corporate Services, Ka’amuna Ibrahim Khadi as executive director for Risk Management and Strategy, and Hakeem Oluwatosin Salami as executive director for Operations.

In addition, five non-executive directors were appointed: Aminu Malami Mohammed for the North East, Charles Amuchienwa for the South East, Oladejo Odunuga for the South West, Rabiu Idris Funtua for the North West, and Kochi Donald Iorgyer for the North Central.

For the National Agricultural Development Fund, Mallam Bello Maccido was appointed as chairman. Other members named are Dr Nelson Henry Essien for the South South, Amina Ahmed Habib for the North West, Akinyinka Olufela Akinnola for the South West, Hassan Tanimu Musa Usman for the North East, Lufer Samson Orkar for the North Central, and Felix Achibiri for the South East.

These latest appointments complete the new boards and are expected to enhance the performance and capacity of the three agencies.
