President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is scheduled to embark on a three-state tour this weekend, with planned visits to Borno, Bauchi and Lagos States.
This was made known in a statement released on Friday by the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga.
According to the statement, the President will begin his trip in Borno State, where he will commission several federal and state projects alongside Governor Babagana Zulum.
Tinubu is also expected to attend the wedding ceremony of Sadeeq Sheriff, son of former Borno State Governor, Senator Ali Modu Sheriff, who will be getting married to Hadiza Kam Salem.
From Borno, the President will travel to Bauchi State to pay a condolence visit to the family of the late Sheikh Dahiru Bauchi, the respected Islamic cleric and leader of the Tijjaniyya Muslim Brotherhood, who died on November 27.
After the Bauchi engagement, President Tinubu will proceed to Lagos State to observe the end-of-year holidays.
While in Lagos, he is expected to attend the Eyo Festival as the guest of honour. The event, scheduled for December 27 at the Tafawa Balewa Square, will celebrate notable personalities, including the President’s mother, Alhaja Abibatu Mogaji, as well as former Lagos State Governors Alhaji Lateef Jakande and Chief Michael Otedola.
