Abba Atiku Abubakar, son of former Nigerian Vice President Atiku Abubakar, has announced his support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The announcement came during a visit to the City Boy Movement (CBM) leadership in Abuja on Monday.
Abba led members of the Haske Atiku Organisation, now renamed the Haske Tinubu Organisation, to meet with the CBM’s Director General, Oluwatosin Francis Shoga, and its National Coordinator, Favour Abayomi.
Abba said his backing for President Tinubu is based on the economic direction of the current administration.
He expressed that the policies being implemented benefit both businesses and Nigerians, and he believes a second term would allow for even greater progress.
Drawing on his experience in business since 1999, Abba said he has a clear view of what effective economic governance looks like and sees positive outcomes from the president’s policies.
He also explained that joining the All Progressives Congress (APC) and working with the City Boy Movement aligns with his desire to serve and contribute to political leadership, particularly for the youth.
He said his involvement would also support his goal of representing the people of Adamawa at the National Assembly.
CBM’s Director General, Shoga, welcomed Abba’s support, noting that the organization continues to focus on increasing youth participation in leadership and politics.
He added that the movement has expanded its reach, including the appointment of Obi Cubana as South-East Zonal Director and the launch of state-level offices across the country.
