Dangote Petroleum Refinery has raised the price of petrol across Nigeria following the festive season.
The company adjusted the gantry price of Premium Motor Spirit from N699 per litre to N799 per litre, bringing the pump price to around N839 per litre at filling stations nationwide.
The refinery explained that the increase reflects a return to regular market conditions after special measures were applied during the holidays to ease the cost of fuel for consumers.
The temporary reduction in petrol prices was intended to help Nigerians manage higher spending during the festive period.
This marks the second time Dangote Petroleum Refinery has taken steps during holidays to reduce pressure on the public.
In 2024, the company supported logistics costs, and in 2025, it lowered petrol prices to make fuel more affordable.
However, the refinery noted that some filling stations did not pass on the reduced prices to consumers during the intervention, limiting the relief for motorists and households.
Dangote Petroleum Refinery assured that it remains committed to maintaining a steady fuel supply and a balanced market, while working to ensure stable prices and energy security across the country.
