The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has opened its online media accreditation portal ahead of the Rivers State bye-elections in Ahoada East II and Khana II constituencies.
The bye-elections are scheduled to be held on February 21, 2026.
INEC made the announcement on Monday via its official X handle, calling on interested media organisations to submit their applications through the online portal.
The Commission stated that the accreditation portal will close on February 8, 2026, stressing that late applications will not be entertained.
The notice read: “INEC has opened the online media accreditation portal for the upcoming Rivers State bye-election in Ahoada East II and Khana II constituencies (February 21, 2026).
“All interested media organisations must apply via imap.inecnigeria.org before the portal closes on February 8, 2026. No late applications.”
