NELFUND Extends 2025/26 Loan Application Deadline.

The Nigerian Education Loan Fund has extended the deadline for students applying for the 2025/2026 academic session.

The agency said the decision was taken to give more eligible students enough time to complete and submit their applications without pressure.

NELFUND explained that the previous deadline of January 31, 2026, has now been moved to February 27, 2026. 

The extension is meant to prevent students from missing out due to delays or challenges during the application process.

The fund noted that many applicants may still be gathering required documents or finalising their details, and the new deadline gives them a better chance to apply properly.

NELFUND advised students who have not started their applications, as well as those who are yet to complete them, to make use of the extra time and ensure all information is submitted before the new closing date.

The agency also stated that updates and official announcements will continue to be shared through its verified communication platforms.
