The Nigeria Police Force has arrested six suspects in connection with the hacking of a major telecommunication company in the country.
The suspects are believed to have gained unauthorized access to the company’s core computer systems, allowing them to manipulate data and resources.
Authorities said the group diverted airtime and mobile data valued at about N7.7 billion.
Police investigators are currently examining how the suspects carried out the operation and whether others were involved.
The Force assured the public that the case is being handled with urgency and that all necessary steps will be taken to prevent similar incidents in the future.
