Nigerian actress Etinosa Idemudia has shared how fellow actress Mercy Johnson came to her aid after she faced threats from her ex-husband.
Etinosa revealed in a recent interview that the threats began after she spoke about her past relationship during a media interview.
She said her ex-husband became angry after details from the interview were taken out of context, leading him to threaten her safety.
The actress explained that she initially tried to handle the situation quietly but eventually reached out on social media for help when the threats escalated.
Mercy Johnson stepped in and used her military connections to forward the matter to the Chief of Naval Staff.
This action brought authorities from Abuja into the case, ensuring that her ex-husband could no longer harass her.
Etinosa was previously married to Babatunde Solomon, a military officer, with their marriage ending between 2017 and 2018.
She later married Ighorosa, a lawyer based in Benin, but they divorced in 2021 after having their first child.
