My Husband Wouldn’t Have Died If Had Listened To Me - Former Ondo First Lady, Betty Akeredolu.

Chief & Chief Mrs. Akeredolu.

One would not believe that former First Lady of Ondo State, Mrs Betty Anyanwu-Akeredolu would ever come out to attest to the fact that she wasn’t fully in control of her husband and Governor of Ondo State, Rotimi Akeredolu, against popular belief that she was in charge fully.

Infact, the general public was made to believe and accept that Betty was in charge of even the start government then, as it was believed that she dictated everything that happened in her husband’s government but that as we see now, wasn’t true in all ramifications.

According to information available then, the now late Forner Governor had cancer and as a survivor of breast cancer for more than 20yrs, the former First Lady is angry because her late husband did not listen to her and her opinions on how best to handle a cancer case.

It is informative that her opinion on anything cancer would have made a whole lots of sense but the love of her life preferred going for prayers and visiting praying house to listening to his wife who is more knowledgeable.

Out of anger, frustration and evident grief of her husband, she made some of these assertions concerning her late husband.

According to her, I wouldn't have been a widow today if my late husband, had listened to me, saying that he prioritized spiritual practices over medical treatment.

"What came out of their mountain climbing, blessed handkerchiefs, water, olive oil, etc, from the General overseers and all the noisy prayers like people possessed by demons? If Aketi had listened to me, I wouldn't be a widow. You cannot pray away breast cancer or any cancer at all."
