Kike Abati,
herself a brilliant talk-show host, shared that she has been divorced twice and
has now found stability and happiness in her current marriage with her equally
brilliant husband, Dr. Reuben Abati—(who wouldn’t be).
During the
interview, Kike recounted some of the challenges of her first marriage,
revealing that she had unknowingly married a man who was gay, explaining that
this truth only became known after they were married, a revelation that left
her facing emotional and social challenges.
"For
a woman who had divorced twice, first, I married a gay person without me
knowing; let me put it out there."
Her second
marriage, she said, was even more tumultuous. According to her, her second
husband was a serial womanizer and an abuser who made the marriage emotionally tasking
and deeply challenging, describing the difficulties of navigating such a
relationship while trying to maintain a sense of dignity and self-worth.
"The
second one was the biggest philanderer and abuser," she said, reflecting
on the hardships she endured during that period, but despite the painful
experiences, she says she holds no regrets about her past marriages, explaining
that those experiences, as difficult as they were, ultimately brought her the
greatest blessings in her life and the life of her children.
Furthermore,
Kike said, “Looking back at everything today, I have no regrets at all because
those marriages gave me my children, who are the greatest gifts I could ever
receive, underscoring her resilience and her ability to find meaning and growth
even in challenging circumstances.
