Nigerian singer and songwriter Omah Lay recently shared a personal story about experiencing a breakup while attending the Grammys, revealing how deeply relationships affect him.
In a candid discussion, Omah Lay said:
“Every time I fall in love, I lose myself. I was at the Grammys… while Justin Bieber was performing, I was having a breakup right inside. I was not present… even before the Grammys, I was already having problems in the relationship.”
He described how a two-month relationship made him so invested that he could not focus on anything else:
“I don’t know how to do two things at a time. So when I’m into one thing, all of me is into that. I wasn’t present at the Grammy. I didn’t even enjoy anything.”
Omah Lay also reflected humorously on love and relationships, adding:
“Don’t love me… I’ll just enjoy this moment, but as soon as I find another thing that gives me pleasure, I’m gonna leave.”
