Anambra State Governor, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, has officially begun his second term in office, taking the oath alongside his deputy, Dr. Onyekachukwu Ibezim, at Dr. Alex Ekwueme Square in Awka.
In his speech to the crowd, Soludo said the political battles in the state were behind them and called on those who previously opposed him to work together with his government for the progress of Anambra.
He encouraged the Igbo people to support President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 general elections, saying Tinubu has proven trustworthy and has helped reshape economic opportunities for the region.
Soludo also noted that while he looks forward to stronger Igbo representation at the presidency in the future, he believes the right moment has not yet arrived.
