Tinubu Reacts To Borno Attack.

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has expressed sadness over the recent terror attacks in Maiduguri, mourning those who lost their lives and showing support for residents of Borno State.

The president also sympathised with those who were injured during the attacks and assured the people that the federal government stands with them during this period of grief and tension.

He said the attacks were carried out by criminal groups trying to create fear, adding that such actions show they are under pressure from Nigerian troops and security agencies operating across different parts of the country.

Tinubu stated that security operations against these groups will continue and even become stronger, with the aim of removing all threats wherever they may be hiding.

He praised the efforts of Nigerian soldiers and local support groups who were able to stop the attackers from taking over military positions in the state. According to him, the attacks carried out on Monday were desperate moves by terrorist groups, but security forces remain ready to stop them.

The president revealed that during a recent meeting with heads of security and intelligence agencies, he approved more equipment and support to improve their operations, adding that the process has already started.

He also directed top security officials to move to Maiduguri to manage the situation on ground, while emergency agencies have been instructed to take care of those who were injured.

Tinubu assured Nigerians that no part of the country will be left for terrorists to operate freely, stating that security forces will find them, face them, and bring their activities to an end.

He maintained that the country will not give in to fear despite the attacks.
