The mother of Edo State Deputy Governor, Dennis Idahosa, Madam Esther Idahosa, has passed away at the age of 95.
Her death was made known on Wednesday through a statement issued by the deputy governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Friday Aghedo.
According to the statement, the late Madam Idahosa lived a long life marked by strong faith, good character, and deep commitment to her family and community. She was described as a respected matriarch whose life left lasting lessons for those around her.
The family said they are thankful to God for the years she lived and the values she shared with them, which they believe will continue to guide future generations.
The Idahosa and Enabulele families, from Ovia South West Local Government Area of Edo State, also appealed for prayers and support as they mourn her passing.
Madam Esther Imaguomwanruo Idahosa died peacefully on April 8, 2026. She is survived by children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
The family said details of her burial will be announced at a later time.
