Senator representing Plateau South Senatorial District and former Governor of Plateau State, Simon Bako Lalong, has felicitated with Professor Hosea Istifanus Finangwai on the occasion of his birthday, describing him as a distinguished scholar, administrator, and development-driven technocrat.

invaluable contributions of Professor Finangwai during his tenure as
Commissioner for Agriculture and Rural Development under the Rescue
Administration.
He notes that Professor Finangwai played a pivotal

policies and strategic initiatives aimed at boosting food security and rural
development.
The Senator particularly commends Professor
Finangwai’s instrumental role in the establishment of the Faculty of
Agriculture at the Plateau State University, a landmark achievement that
continues to contribute to human capital development and agricultural research
in the State.
He also acknowledges his dedication to the successful
take-off of the Livestock Transformation Programme, which has laid a strong
foundation for modern livestock management and peaceful co-existence among
farmers and herders.
