I Never Welcomed Twins With Simi - Adekunle Gold.

Nigerian singer Adekunle Gold has dismissed reports claiming that his wife, Simi, gave birth to twins.

The music star explained that the family actually welcomed a baby boy and not twins as widely reported online in recent months.

Adekunle Gold made this known during an interview on the morning programme Great Day Houston aired on KHOU 11 television in Houston, Texas. The interview was uploaded on YouTube on Thursday.

During the conversation, the programme host mentioned that the couple had welcomed twins earlier in March. The singer immediately corrected the statement and said the information spreading online was false.

The singer and Simi already have a six-year-old daughter together. Speaking further during the interview, Adekunle Gold said being married to another musician has been a good experience because they both share ideas and support each other creatively at home.

He also revealed that their daughter is already showing interest in music at a young age.

The interview later shifted to his music career and his latest album titled Fuji Xtra, which he said was released on the same night the interview aired.

Adekunle Gold, who performs with his band called the 79th Element, explained that his present sound is a mix of fuji music and modern production. According to him, the style focuses heavily on percussion and energetic sounds.

Rumours about the birth of twins started earlier this year after the singer shared a message on Snapchat that many fans interpreted to mean he and Simi were expecting twins.

The post included a photo showing two baby outfits and a message that led many entertainment blogs and social media users to believe the couple had welcomed two babies.
