The Minister also assured Nigerians that the Ministry of Interior, in collaboration with security agencies, would continue to strengthen measures aimed at safeguarding lives and property across the country. He stressed that peace and security are critical foundations for a thriving democracy.
As part of the Democracy Day celebrations, Nigerians were encouraged to use the occasion for reflection on the nation’s democratic journey and to renew their commitment to responsible citizenship, lawful conduct, and national cohesion.
