Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, has relieved several top aides of their duties, including the Principal Private Secretary and Deputy Chief of Staff, in what the government described as a minor cabinet reshuffle.

The decision was announced in a statement issued on Monday by the Deputy Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Mashood Agboola.

According to the statement, the shake-up affects all Special Advisers, Advisers, Senior Special Assistants, and Special Assistants serving in the administration.

The statement read, “Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has approved a minor cabinet shake up involving all Special Advisers, Advisers, Senior Special Assistants, and Special Assistants.

“The decision, which is meant to extend opportunities to more party members and inject fresh energy into the administration, also affected the Deputy Chief of Staff; and the Principal Private Secretary to the Governor.

“His Excellency expresses his gratitude to all the appointees for their priceless service to the state. He wishes them the best in their future endeavours.

“The Governor directs all the affected appointees to hand over all government’s properties in their custody to the Office of the Secretary to the State Government.”
