Singer Reacts After X-User Makes False Allegations Against Mrs. Josephine Okoye
Nigerian singer Peter Okoye has announced plans to take legal action against an X-user who published defamatory claims about his late mother, Mrs. Josephine Okoye.
The social media user accused Mrs. Okoye of ethnic bias, alleging that she opposed Peter Okoye’s marriage to his wife, Lola Omotayo, because of her Yoruba heritage. The post further suggested that this alleged malice contributed to her passing.
Mrs. Josephine Okoye passed away in July 2012.
Responding to the allegations, Peter Okoye took to his X handle, confirming that his legal team has been notified and will take action against the user for spreading false and damaging claims.
